I am (apparently) still on the waitlist to get into Northwestern&#039;s class of &#039;92, and I was flat out rejected by my (then) true love Georgetown - but none of that soured the wonderful, life-changing experience I&#039;d go on to have at UCLA. :)
[An experience that was even held back from me for a time, because 1988&#039;s fall class was so full that UCLA *deferred* me to an entry date of winter &#039;89... three months after ALL of my friends got to start their college careers!]
