Glad to hear you’re in town; I’ve been reading (and enjoying!) the blog assiduously (love Google Reader) and wondered if we’d rate a visit! It’s Elana Roston, Janet’s cousin, who’s banish-ed to NoCal due to her hubby’s position as a prof at Cal. He teaches 20th cent. American cultural history, so his slides include such things as a peanut butter and banana sandwich…We’d love to give you some insight from a slightly different perspective, if you’re interested. We live a block from the Chez Panisse alumni’s ice cream parlor and could regale you with some further pros and cons (the former mostly from my husband, Scott, the latter, courtesy of me, the reluctant exile).
